Dr. Joseph Fillmore
Dr. Fillmore is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Pain Medicine. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he completed his residency at the prestigious Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Northwestern University Medical School, followed by fellowships in interventional pain and musculoskeletal medicine at Georgia Pain Physicians and anesthesia-based pain management in Chicago.
Dr. Fillmore holds an MBA in Hospital Administration and Finance from The University of Chicago and previously worked as a management consultant for healthcare systems nationwide. His clinical experience includes positions at Advanced Pain and Anesthesia Consultants and Midwest Orthopedics at Rush in Chicago, where he also served as a faculty member in the Departments of Physical Medicine, Rehabilitation, and Orthopedics.
He currently practices at the University of Colorado Anschutz Spine Center and advises Pinnacol Assurance. Dr. Fillmore has contributed to the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation Medical Treatment Guideline Task Forces for Cervical and Lumbar Spine Injuries.
Outside of medicine, his passions include sailing, marathons, triathlons, skiing, and acting.
